Congratulations to our customer South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SCAS) who were shortlisted for the Health Service Journal's "Best Healthcare Analytics Project for the NHS" award.
SCAS have an innovative Anaplan solution that enables them to forecast demand for their 111 and 999 call operators, as well as ambulance crews, to an intraday level. This can then be compared against planned staffing capacity to identify in advance periods when demand might outstrip capacity to respond. This gives the Trust the insight to make staffing changes in advance, and avoid last minute reactive and costly staffing decisions.
We have enjoyed working with the team at SCAS and think that they deserve to win this award, given the outcome they deliver is a better service to their patients by deploying their staff more efficiently.
