Congratulations to our customer Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust for winning the "Embracing Technology 2022" award at the HFMA NW awards today.
The award is well deserved. We began speaking to MUFT in autumn last year about the challenges they have in budgeting and reconciling headcount costs across almost 30,000 employees, who have a variety of complex award structures. With ten hospitals across the Trust this process was being managed at a hospital level in an inconsistent set of spreadsheets that were almost impossible to reconcile at a Trust level.
We worked alongside the team at MUFT to develop an Anaplan solution that would be able to standardise and streamline the pay budgeting and monthly reconciliation process, integrated into the NHS payroll solution, ESR. A large challenge was designing a standardised model that would meet the needs of all hospitals and rolling this large change out over a short period of time. The MUFT team met that challenge head on and the solution was successfully adopted across the Trust.
